2024 Company Trip to Langkawi – A Getaway to Remember

Setting Off to Langkawi

On November 8, 2024, our team set off for an exciting company trip to Langkawi, a destination known for its stunning beaches, lush landscapes, and vibrant culture. This much-anticipated retreat was a chance for us to unwind, bond, and create unforgettable memories together.

Following the success of our 2023 trip to Krabi, the excitement around the annual company getaway was higher than ever. Langkawi — Malaysia’s own jewel of Kedah — offered the perfect blend of tropical beauty and accessibility, allowing the team to trade their screens for sea breezes without the need for passports or long-haul flights.

Our Stay at A Rock Resort

We stayed at A Rock Resort, a serene and scenic retreat that offered the perfect balance of relaxation and adventure. From breathtaking island hopping and thrilling water activities to indulging in delicious local seafood, every moment was filled with joy and camaraderie.

The resort’s beachfront setting meant mornings started with ocean views and ended with spectacular sunsets. The team split into groups for various activities — some headed out on jet skis and kayaks, others opted for snorkelling excursions around nearby islands, and a few simply enjoyed the calm of the resort pool. The island-hopping day trip was a highlight, taking us to Pulau Dayang Bunting (Pregnant Maiden Island) and its freshwater lake, where swimming and cliff jumping added extra doses of adrenaline and laughter.

Strengthening Team Spirit Through Shared Experiences

Beyond just a holiday, this trip strengthened our team spirit, allowing us to connect outside of work and appreciate the friendships that make our workplace special. Whether it was exploring Langkawi’s natural beauty, riding the SkyCab, or simply enjoying the sunset by the beach, this trip reminded us of the importance of work-life balance and shared experiences.

The SkyCab ride to the peak of Gunung Mat Cincang was a standout moment — panoramic views of the archipelago stretched out below us, and the SkyBridge walk tested a few nerves while delivering unforgettable photo opportunities. Evenings were spent gathered around long tables of fresh grilled fish, nasi goreng, and local specialities, swapping stories from the day’s adventures. These informal moments are where the strongest team bonds form, and they carry directly back into how we collaborate on projects at Advisory Apps.
