Will I own the source code?

Yes — you own everything. Upon final payment, complete intellectual property ownership transfers to you, including all source code, designs, documentation, and assets created for your project.

What You Receive

• Source code: All frontend, backend, and mobile application code in a private Git repository transferred to your account.
• Design files: Figma project files with all screens, components, and design system elements.
• Database: Schema definitions, migration scripts, and seed data.
• API documentation: Complete endpoint documentation (typically in Swagger/OpenAPI format).
• Deployment configurations: Docker files, CI/CD pipeline configs, environment variable documentation.
• Technical documentation: Architecture overview, setup guides, and maintenance procedures.

Handover Process

If you have an internal development team, we offer a structured handover:

1. Architecture walkthrough: Live session explaining the system design, key decisions, and codebase structure.
2. Code review: Your team reviews the code with our developers available for questions.
3. Knowledge transfer documentation: Beyond standard docs — includes context on trade-offs, known limitations, and recommended improvements.
4. Transition support: A defined period (typically 2–4 weeks) where our team is available to answer questions as your team takes over.

Open-Source Dependencies

Your project will use open-source libraries and frameworks (e.g., React, Flutter, Node.js). These remain under their original licences (MIT, Apache, etc.) — this is standard for all modern software. We document all dependencies and their licence types for your compliance records.

We do not retain rights to your code, and we do not reuse your proprietary business logic in other projects. Your project is yours — completely and permanently.
