- Incremental backups: Only changed files are backed up after the initial full backup, reducing storage costs and backup duration.
Cross-Region Replication
For critical systems — such as healthcare platforms handling patient data or financial applications processing transactions — we replicate backups to a geographically separate region. If the primary region experiences a catastrophic failure, your data is safe in a secondary location.
Disaster Recovery Process
- RTO (Recovery Time Objective): Typically 1–4 hours for full system recovery from backups, depending on the application size and complexity.
- RPO (Recovery Point Objective): Less than 1 hour of data loss for databases with continuous transaction log backups. Zero data loss for systems with synchronous replication.
- Documented runbooks: Step-by-step recovery procedures are maintained and updated for every managed application.
- Monthly restore tests: We perform a full restore from backup to a test environment every month and verify data integrity against checksums.
